Mazda Maintenance Schedule |

Every 8,000 km or Every 4 Months
- Engine oil change & filter
- Inspect automatic transmission fluid level
- Inspect engine coolant level & strength
- Inspect brake & clutch & power steering fluid levels
- Inspect & top up washer fluid level
- Clean & lubricate antenna mast
- Inspect tire inflation & tire wear
- Inspect tension of all drive belts
- Inspect function of all lights
- Check parking brake operation
- Lubricate all locks & hinges
- Inspect for any foreign material trapped by exhaust system shielding
Every 24,000 km or Every 15 Months
All items included with Service #1 with additional items listed below:
- Inspect air filter element (replace if necessary)
- Inspect cooling system for leaks
- Adjust idle speed
- Inspect disc brakes (front & rear) and lubricate caliper slide pins/rails
- Inspect drum brake linings, lines & hoses
- Rotate tires
- Lubricate propeller shaft (MPV 4x4)
- Tighten all chassis/body nuts &bolts
Every 48,000 km or Every 30 Months
All items included with Service #1 and #2 with additional items as listed below:
- Replace air cleaner element
- Replace spark plugs (except 'B' series)
- Inspect fuel lines & hoses
- Replace fuel filter (except 'B' series)
- Replace engine coolant (except certain vehicles with extended life Anti-freeze)
- Replace brake fluid
- Inspect suspension components, front & rear
- Automatic transmission/transaxle service, replace fluid (except 'B' series)
- Replace differential oil (if equipped, except 'B' series)
- Inspect driveshaft dust boots (on models so equipped)
- Inspect steering operation & linkage
Every 96,000 km or Every 60 Months
- Replace engine timing belt (on models so equipped)
- Inspect PVC vale, replace as necessary
- Inspect timing belt condition & tension ('B' series 2.3L & 2.5L only)
Aditional Maintence Requirements
MPV
- Replace transfer case fluid every 48,000 km (4x4)
- Replace oxygen sensor every 128,000 km
TRUCKS
- Replace auto trans fluid every 48,000 km if operated under service conditions, (refer to owners manual)
- Wheel lug torque checked every 8,000 km
- Tires rotated at first 8,000 km service
- Chassis lubrication every 8,000 km
- Inspect & lubricate spindle needle Brgs. (4x4) every 48,000 km
- Replace transfer case fluid (4x4) every 96,000 km
- Replace spark plugs every 96,000 km
- Replace ignition wires every 96,000 km
- Replace differential oil every 160,000 km or if the axle has been submerged in water
NOTES
- All wheel lug nuts on trucks must be retightened to proper torque specifications at 800 km of new vehicle operations and after any wheel change
- 4-wheel alignment recommended every 48,000 km or when signs of misalignment are visible
- Inspect air conditioner refrigerant charge and compressor operations on an annual basis
- If you operate the vehicle 'off road' in water that is deeper than the hubs (1/2 wheel height) or in extreme muddy conditions, then affected components must be serviced daily
